A New Fundamental Frequency Estimation Algorithm in the Frequency Domain

A new pitch estimation algorithm is presented in this paper, based on the sinusoidal analysis of speech signals. The speech signal is processed first and then the pitch is estimated by introducing the cost function in the algorithm. Experimental results show that the method has a high accuracy and a wide application in speech analysis and synthesis.
