Analysis and Simulation of Power Consumption in Wireless Sensor Network

The paper built up the model for three MAC protocols(IEEE802.11MAC,BASIC,PCM) based on the principle of the wireless communication,and analyzed the effects that derived from the power control.We use the simulation technology,comparing the throughput and energy-efficiency of the three MAC protocol through simulation.The results of simulation show that the energy consumption can be reduced if the transmit power can be controlled validly,and the performance of network can be increased.
