Iris Recognition Based on the Tree-structured Wavelet Transform

Iris recognition has great advantages, such as variability, stability, also it can’t forge and infringe, so it can provides supe- riority security than other human feature recognitions. A new Iris recognition algorithm is proposed, which adopts tree- structured wavelet transform to extract iris texture feature and adopts the Mahalanobis distance to recognize. Experiment results show that this approach has a very high speed of operation and good result.
