A Sketch of Poetic Prosody

Poetic prosody is a domain that is concerned with the poetic functions of speech sounds and the art of sounds. This paper addresses the following topics: the notion of poetic speech sounds, generation of meaning through speech sounds, their rhetoric features, and metrical structure of poetry. This sketch is hoped to serve as a basis for further study.
