The application of the result of GPS in the area of the Yangtze river mouth, bring about non-tiding for sounding

Shanghai MSA Hydrographic Department has set up GPS control network in the area of Huangpu River and Yangtze River mouth, and made calculation for the gap of geoid in this area in 1998. Now the GPS control network has all over the Yangtze river mouth and Hangzhou Bay. This GPS control network has a foundation for non tiding sounding. The thesis deseribes how to make use of the result of GPS when non tiding sounding need to be considered: change heights about GPS and Wusong 0 point, to add density of DGPS control point, and use GPS RTK technique for non tiding sounding. So the ability of maritime surveys has been enhanced to meet the urgent need.
