New opportunity for CAE software development in China

Although the development of China-made supercomputers achieves worldwide attention,the low-level application is in contradiction with the hardware performance.According to the computing technology development trend and the physical characteristics of petascale computing,the historic opportunity faced with China is analyzed,and some suggestions about fully developing the fundamental advantages of the supercomputing platform in China are proposed.To break the restrictions(including calculation size,resolution and precision) and technology blockade of foreign CAE software in China,and achieve the national strategy and independent CAE software of China in high-end software market,a new generation of CAE software which is based on large-scale parallel computation technology with high-scalability and fault-tolerant should be developed in China.
