In this artical , we first introduce the objective of the qualitative reasoning, its developmentand its application, Second, we give the principle of the qualitative reasoning according to the theory ofKuipers qualitative simulation. We focus on the dynamic algorithm of the qualitative simulation. At the end,we discuss the problems in qualitative reasoning.
