A Study of Routing Discovery Mechanism in Multi-path Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Network

In mobile ad hoc network (MANET), multi-path routing, compared with uni-path routing, has some performance advantages, including increasing the aggregate bandwidth, balancing the load, and providing error resilience. Routing discovery is fundamental part of routing protocol. In this paper, the key design issues and challenges of routing discovery are discussed, and various multi-path routing protocols are compared in routing discovery process. Finally, the future research directions are outlined.
