An Exploration on Collection Standard of Handwriting Sample in Criminal Cases

In the course of investigating and judging criminal cases,handwriting identification is needed to identify and judge special problems.The method of handwriting identification decides that it is a must to compare handwriting sample with questioned sample in the work.As the known standard to identify whether the handwriting is written by certain suspect,material of handwriting sample is the important basis of the opinion by analyzing the writing characteristics of the suspect.Whether the collection procedure of handwriting sample is legal and whether the method is normative decide whether the handwriting sample has value of comparison.Regulating the collection of handwriting sample which can comply with the requirement of identification ensures the legitimacy,accuracy and reliability of identification opinion.
