Research of Improved Authentication Technology Based on 802.1x

This paper presents the basic concept and principle of 802.1x protocol. Analyzes the practical application of Ethernet security authentication management based on 802.1x, and pointes out the shortages and limitation of 802.1x. In order to solve the problem such as permission management, address assignment, etc. the new method and the maneuverable improved scheme have been put forward in this paper.
