This paper first describes the characteristics of wireless sensor networks and the requirement for routing protocols.After presenting the classification standards for routing protocols,the paper divides some existing routing protocols into two classes: flat and hierarchy.Analyzing and comparing the characteristics and application areas of these protocols.Finally pre-sents the hot-point and future trends of WSN routing protocols researching.
