The paper introduces the function point(FP)measuring method and its application to the information management and inquirysystemofCATV(cable television)customer project advancement.The value ofthe function pointof software developˉment aboutthe information management and inquiry systemof CATVcustomer project progress is estimated according to the funcˉtion point.This method provides a basis for the cost estimate of software development project so that plans of software developˉment and management can be made as soon as possible.
