The Study of Prosody in Chinese

In recent years, the study of prosody has been paid much attention to. According to Professor Lu Shuxiang, the study of prosody refers to problems of two aspects. One mainly studies the influence of prosody on rhetoric. The other lays great emphasis on the relation between prosody and grammar. The purpose of this paper is to show the value of prosodic study. The paper also classifies achievements in study of prosody.
