Study on the Feasibility of Applying Fyzzy Mathematics Method to Appraise Manuscript Quality

It is set forth first that the manuscript quality of academic papers is still appraised recently at three levels with language/words, evaluated result is confusing, lacks quantification and comparability between manuscripts and influenced by man factor of the person who appraises. So it is unfair sometimes. The feasibility of applying fuzzy mathematics method to appraise manuscript quality is studied. How to apply Method No.1 and No.2 that belong to the scope of fuzzy mathematics is introduced and the results obtained with the two methods are compared. It is indicated that the basic content of Method No.2 is a mathematics model M(∧,∨) of main factor determination. Its operated result is still confusing and lacks accuracy. Method No.1 is simple, practicable and direct viewing because resultant operation of mono factor evaluating matrix expressed with percentage and several items of weight vector is adopted in operating process. The application of Method No.1 will promote modality, standardization and automation of the examining manuscript work of editorial department.
