Nursing intervention on sleeping quality of inpatients in coronary care unit

Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on sleeping quality of patients in coronary care unit(CCU).Methods A total of 80 patients who were hospitalized in CCU received the comprehensive nursing intervention,including strengthening the environment management of CCU and doctor-patient communication,rotional using of drug,and implementing sleeping cognitive therapy and relaxation therapy.Before and after the intervention,the sleeping quality of patients were assessed with Pattsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Results After the intervention,the total score of PSQI was significantly lower than that before the intervention,especially in the five aspects of the subjective sleep quality,sleep latency,sleep duration,sleep efficiency,and sleep disturbances(P0.01).Conclusion The comprehensive nursing intervention can improve the sleeping quality of patients in CCU.
