Application of R/S Method to Dynamic Groundwater Analysis

The Hurst empirical formula in the R/S method is modified and used for the analysis of the dynamic process of groundwater. Examples show that the use of the R/S method to the analysis of the dynamic process of groundwater is reasonable, and that the modified Hurst empirical formula can be widely applied to analyze time series. By means of the R/S method, the fractal characteristics of the dynamic process of groundwater are described quantitatively, and its fractal dimension is obtained.
