A Video Coder Supporting Spatial Scalability Based on H.264/AVC Standard

Video scalable technology is introduced in this paper. Based on the H.264/AVC video coding standard, a video coder supporting spatial scalability is designed here. The experiment shows that it can save 20%～30% of the bandwidth to transfer the video signal, compared with the H.264/AVC coder without scalability.
