Establishment of the database system for the safety evaluation of reservoir dam

The method for evaluating comprehensively the safety of reservoir dams is studied based on the Reservoir Dam Safety Evaluation Method promulgated by the Ministry of Water Conservancy. The present situation of the existing earth dams in China and Anhui Province is analyzed. The assessment model of the earth dam defects is established based on the reliable degree method and the reasonable distribution of weight. Several issues concerning with the establishment of the database system of observation data are discussed. With the aid of the computer,the managerial personnel can know the testing and detecting data well,then a comprehensive evaluation of the reservoir dam safety can be made.
