XML-based data partitioning strategy of distributed database

As XML has become an emerging standard for information exchange and data expression on the World Wide Web,it has gained great attention among database communities.A XML-based middleware model and a semistructured data partitioning strategy was focused on.As one of XML characteristics,platform independence facilitated the connection between data sources and web applications as a form of database middleware.In this foundation,a data partitioning strategy for declustering XML documents named extensible hybrid-range partitioning strategy(EHRPS) could improve the performance of parallel query of this middleware and reduce the response time of the query.The performance tests,analyses and evaluations were given.
