Features and application of electronic reporting system for hospital adverse events

Objective To realize hospital adverse events paperless reporting and determine the reporting flow. Methods The classification and reporting flow were considered, and then an ASP.NET-based adverse event reporting system was developed, with corresponding sheet for each type of event and electronized flow combined with the sheet developed.Results The nurse could fill in the sheet with easy operation and understand the process by flow chart, and could store the reported events for further analysis. Conclusion The system makes clear the responsibilities of the nurse, and enhances the efficiency for treating medical adverse events.
