Based on the research of the generation mechanism and inherent features of transformer magnetizing in-rush current,according to the needs of transformer protection,a comparative analysis is made of present discriminating methods for transformer magnetizing in-rush current and inner fault current in terms of the protection theory basis,advantages,disadvantages and protection realization.
