Research on the Design of a RTEMS-Based Software Fault-Tolerant System

Computer systems used in the space environment need some fault-tolerant mechanisms to enhance their reliability. This paper starts with the feature of RTEMS and an analysis of the space environment. Then it gives the layered design of a RTEMS-based software fault-tolerant system. Finally it offers the analysis of the fault-tolerance system as well as its test verification. It is quite necessary to design the system as a layered fault-tolerant system.
