Risk Assessment of Highway Bridge and Tunnel Engineering

The risk assessment technical system of long-span concrete highway bridge was described,and stage division,assessment method,assessment process,and assessment criteria in risk assessment technology of bridges and tunnels were summarized based on years of research.Some key problems in the basic theory and method of risk assessment were discussed,the risk assessment system was optimized,and a new method for engineering application with easy implementation was proposed.A stable and proper assessment procedure for general risk problems in bridge and tunnel engineering was suggested and the basic assessment model was improved to enhance the efficiency and level of bridge risk assessment.A grand highway bridge and a super long tunnel were chosen as a case to illustrate the application of the risk assessment process,method,and criteria.
