On the Role of Semanteme and Sememe in Semantic Understandings

Outlines the basic semantic theory of semanteme collocation and componential analysis, and discusses some rules of semanteme collocation and analyzes the trend that more and more abnormal semanteme collocations have been flooding in human languages. It also presents the further understanding of sememe in the way of componential analysis and analyzes the dynamic change of the sememe in the perspective of context and diachronic development. Finally, it focuses on the imperative of application of this theory to natural language processing.
