Because of the importance of UAV in modern warfare, more and more work in UAV route planning has been done. This paper analyzes the factors involved in UAV route planning and processing, and introduces the relevant concepts of genetic algorithm. As UAV route planning involves many factors and calculations, genetic algorithm is used in UAV route planning. Then, encoding methods of genetic algorithm is offered,as well as algorithm parameters and the setting method for termination conditions. Finally, several suggestions for improvement are provided.
