A Selective Encryption Algorithm Based on Run-length Encoding with No Lossless

Qing Zhou · Communications technology · 2007

A selective encryption algorithm based on Run-length Encoding with no loss is proposed in this paper.First the bitplane is run-length encoded, and then the short run-length,which is not important to the image is filtered off, thus reducing the encryption content. The selected content is encrypted with AES or stream cipher based on LFSR.Finally the security of the algorithm is analysed, and it is proved to be a secure and fast algorithm.
