A Cognitive Research on English Structural Ambiguity Based on Transformational-Generative Grammar

Ambiguity is a common linguistic phenomenon,which indicates a section of a sentence has two or more than two different explanations or semantic interpretations.From the perspective of TGG,this paper gives insights into structural ambiguity,which contributes to the further understanding of complexity and accuracy of English syntactic structures.Equally,it helps English teaching and the command of syntactic structure analysis.
