According to the question how to choose multipath routes in Ad hoc networks, this paper improves Backup Source Routing(BSR) protocol. It considers link service time and transmission delay of the network in routing discovery, chooses a primary route according to a factor and a backup route which has little correlation with the primary route according to the improved cost function. It transmits data packet by using the route pairs with the primary route and the backup route.Experimental results demonstrate that the improved protocol can decrease the count of routing discovery and improve the routing reliability and network performance.
