Correction of pixel ratio and its application in the generation of definition test pattern

The picture made of square pixels generated by computer would show geometric distortion when displayed in the video system made of non-square pixels. To this, the ratio adjustment algorithm based on the PAR is presented in this paper, and used to optimize the algorithm for generating the TV picture definition test pattern by building the dummy center of geometry, calculating the parameter K and deducing the relationship between the highest definition and the parameter Experiments demonstrate that the algorithm can be used to generate many kinds of test signals, patterns and movement sequences precisely to different standards.
