Cross-Layer Design for Energy-Constrained Ad Hoc Wireless Networks

First, in this paper, we introduce characteristics and applications of ad hoc wireless networks, then we discuss layered-design and cross-layer design approaches. Next, we discuss designing issues of link layer, MAC layer, network layer, and application layer, and their interdependencies in cross-layer designing) for energy-constrained ad hoc wireless networks. In the end, conclusions are given.
