This paper makes a brief introduction of the principles of boot routine on DSP. Taking the dsPIC30F6014 included in the dsPIC30F family DSP which are developed by the U.S. Microchip Company as an example it describes a method to program a boot routine to achieve remote program downloading with a focus on the problems of the reconfiguring of FLASH program memory space the remapping of the reset vector and interrupt vectors. This method has been used in the terminal units of the electric power load management system.
