CVE-SRBAC: Space Role-Based Access Control for Collaborative Virtual Environment and the Teaching Applications

Yang Lu, Ji-yi Xu, Yongna Liu, Bo Sun · International Conference on Multimedia Information Networking and Security · 2013

Since the Collaborative Virtual Environment (CVE) was proposed, protections for data resources as virtual spaces, textures, audios, videos and user generate contents (UGCs) in virtual world have become more and more important. Large number of experiments has proved traditional access control models (ACMs) could deal with basic access issues. By exploring the concept of space layout, SRBAC could be more understandable, and the use experience of 3D virtual environment could be improved. In this paper, we put forward the CVE-SRBAC, and implement a teaching right management system based on it. As people could organize several collaborative activities in the in the experimental stage, its usability and feasibility could be verified.
