Research on the Compatibility of Fuzzy Morphological Operations over α-Cuts using Triangle Norm

In this paper, we reviewed the development of Mathematical Morphology, especially the concepts of how to transform the binary image to gray scale image. Then we introduced a new method to produce Fuzzy Mathematical Morphology based on T norms and T Cornorms. Next we investigated the relationship between fuzzy morphological operation and their α cuts, and showed how fuzzy morphological operations could be constructed usingα cuts. It was interesting to observe that fuzzy morphological operation could be achieved from its binary alternative perfectly with appropriate t norms and t conorms.
