RESEARCH ON HETEROGENEOUS DATA INTEGRATION

Heterogeneous data integration can be divided into materialized view approach and virtual view approach.Data integration based on wrapper/mediator,in the later one,is the subject of this paper.It gets data from the sources on-demanded through mappings between global schema and source schema.It is applicable to the cases which the data changes frequently.Data integration based on wrapper/mediator has four mapping approaches,LAV,GAV,GLAV and BAV.This paper discusses the four approaches from an example.At last,it summarizes the characteristics of them and the development in the future.
