Parameterization of Symmetric Antisymmetric Multiwavelet Filter Bank and Its Application in Image Compression

In this paper,we propose a parameterization design method for the symmetric antisymmetric multiwavelet filter bank.Then,based on it,we present a new multiwavelet zerotree compression algorithm.Experimental results show that our multiwavelets can perform much better than the commonly used 9 7 biorthogonal wavelet in compression efficiency.
