Application of mathematical morphology and hough transformation to medical image

Medical Images including head outline are preprocessed by using mathematical morphology, and the skeleton of fetus' head outline with an approximate rotundity can be extracted. The circle of head outline is automatically obtained by hough transform, and its diameter is approximately equal to the biparietal diameter.
