Noun-cluster Pre-modification in English Abstracts of Medical Research Articles

Owing to the great amount of information of modern medicine,we have to increase our reading speed if we want to improve our reading efficiency.Noun-cluster pre-modification may cause ambiguous relationship between nouns in the phrase,and confusion between pre-modifying nouns and the subject,object or predicative.These problems may cause our brain to adjust the process of word-group recognition repeatedly and thus reduce the reading speed.We can solve these problems by inserting a hyphen between the related pre-modifiers and by changing pre-modifiers into post-modifiers so as to increase our reading speed and efficiency.
