CONVERGENCE ANALYSIS OF AN EQUIVALENT GENETIC ALGORITHM BASED ON EXTENDED STRINGS

In this paper,a genetic algorithm,which is equivalent to the standard genetic algorithm in optimization problems, is presented independently based on theextended strings. The conditions and the rate of convergence of the algorithm areanalyzed. An analytic expression on the average rate of convergence of the equivalent algorithm is given.
