Design and implementation of 31-order FIR digital filter

The most typical method of using the EDA technology to complete hardware design is designed by Quartus, but this method is not applicable to project involved in class of algorithms or signal processing. DSP Builder introduced by Altera in 2002 helps designers to complete such a project. IIR and FIR are the common digital filter types. The FIR digital filter can easily filter the wave fast by using FFT, and the phase has strict linear relation. It is suitable for the requirement of digital communication. DDS is a common digital frequency synthesis technology, whose relative bandwidth, frequency transfer time, phase continuity, high resolution and integration level and a series of other performance index is far better than those of the traditional frequency synthesis technology. For the reason, the digital filter design method jointly developed by Matlab, DSP Builder and Quartus, is introduced. The filtering effect is tested with frequency signal produced by DDS.
