Analysis of Use of Parallel I/O in MPI_2

This paper analyzes the use of parallel I/O in MPI. To achieve high I/O performance with MPI, users use collective I/O function together with noncontiguous accesses. To improve the performance of collective I/O, the I/O four-levels access pattern is used.
