Choosing component-oriented GIS technology,the authors developed the land-use management system with GIS Component MapX(5.0) and advanced Language VB 6.0.This paper gave the introduction of the basic fuction of MapX and the process of the system development.In this paper,the function,the ensemble structure and achievement of the system were expounded.
