A Paper Currency Number Segmentation And Positioning Method

This paper introduces a paper currency number segmentation and positioning method. For the acquired paper currency number gray image, first, do overall threshold segmentation, using horizontal and vertical projection for initial positioning each character. Then further refine the segment fast region of each character to realize the clear and accurate segmentation and positioning. Successfully reduce the inaccurate effect of segmentation and recognition due to partial stain on individual character notes.
