The paper presents the design, analysis and performance evaluation of EPHM,an efficient priority-based hierarchical ALM management model, this paper sets up priority mathematical model in order to calculate the priority of each group member,in addition, the paper establishes a software environment to simulate EPHM on a Linux operation system, the simulation environment is a transit-stub topology generated using the GT-ITM topology generator, and members of the multicast group are randomly selected. The simulator results show that the network can be constringed fleetly and can elect its leader over again even though it invalidates frequently when priority is introduced to make the selection of group leader, and consequently the method can ameliorate the network performance with only cluster management.
