Mathematical expression of wood thermal conductivity was derived by analogism from the analogy between heat and electric conduction. The expressions point to the conclusion that wood radial thermal conductivity is a function of the rate of small opening in wood. The greater the rate of small opening in wood, the smaller the thermal conductivity. The conclusion is identical with mechanism analysis or test and verification. With the formula derived, the theoretical values of thermal conductivity for 20 tree species were calculated. The maximum error is 12.8% and average error less than 5%.
