On the Most Probable Journal Impact Factors of Subjects

By analyzing the journal impact factors(IF) distribution of different subjects,most probable IF of subject is introduced.The lognormal function is adopted to fit the IF distribution in some subjects.It is shown that the lognormal function could describe the IF distribution in certain subjects and its parameter could on some degree presents the level of the mean journal impact factors of a subject.Proposals are suggested that most probable IF of subject and character parameters of lognormal distribution could present the IF level of a certain subject on the whole.
