Auction-based Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Radio System

This paper analyzes the features of auction-based spectrum allocation in cognitive radio,gives a spectrum auction model for cognitive radio,discusses the applications of the first-price and second-price sealed-bid auction mechanism for spectrum allocation in cognitive radio,studies the issues of optimal price and reserved price in the auction process,and finally describes a simple simulation.The simulation result shows that the auction-based spectrum allocation is obviously superior to random distribution scheme in the throughput performances and packet loss rate.
