Research on the Key Technologies for Basic Platform of Public Information on Yellow River Water Resources Protection

This paper studies the key technologies for the framework of basic platform of public information on water resources protection in the Yellow Basin, which will be constructed by the Yellow Conservancy Commission. The key technologies involved include: digital technology and model constructing and computing technology. At present, such digital technologies will be adopted for the basic platform of public information as database, 3S (GIS, GPS, RS) and their integration, computer network and communication, computer-supported cooperative working, agent system, multimedia, virtual reality and intermediate technology. The research result will surely make a contribution to the implementation of the Digital Yellow River project.
