Fault Detection of Asynchronism Motor Based on Genetic Neural Networks

A novel motor fault detection scheme based on genetic neural network was proposed. The motor feature signal from only one transducer is used to erect a nonlinearity detection model. In order to condense the search space for neural network optimization and avoid being trapped into local minima, the genetic algorithm is used to amend the weights of detection model. The experiments with a practical motor are carried out to verify effectiveness of the method.
