Stability of slope is involved in the engineering of mining, railway, industry and civil construction. A slope has complex failure mechanism, and is affected by many factors, therefore more attention is paid by most of experts in the filed of mining and geotechnical engineering. In this paper, a catastrophe model to analyze and determine the stability of slope is built up, and the technique of neural networks is used to extract the knowledge to analyze and determine the stability of slope. It is proved that this method is effective for the evaluation of stability of slope.
