Li Li · 2004
OBJECTIVE To strengthen monitoring of hospital-acquired infection in ICU and explore monitoring methods. METHODS To make an ICU target-monitoring plan, establish ICU infection monitoring diary and perform prospective monitoring by analyzing data from Aug 1999 to May 2000. RESULTS A total of 355 patients were monitored and 156 of them suffered from infection.Patients' infection case-rate and adjusted day infection rate were 21.97% and 18.77‰, respectively;adjusted day infection rate related with ventilator, urinary catheter and central venous catheter was 22.56‰,5.25‰ and 2.24‰, respectively. ASIS was 3.74%. CONCLUSIONS Through closely cooperation and doing oneself with specialist in infection department and doctors and nurses in charge of infection monitoring in ICU, by prospective monitoring we can obtain accurate data rapidly and master dynamic changes in hospital-acquired infection in ICU. By data analysis and pathogenic monitoring we can learn the trends of ICU infection so as to perform the effective methods to control infection. Prospective target monitoring cited in the article is a scientific monitoring method that plays an important role in controlling and preventing hospital-acquired infection. It is deserving of recommendation and spreading.
